OUR STORY
Jalsa is not a Tamil word but coined by Chennai Tamil people it means “Enjoyment” or” Fun”.
In Hindi, Jalsa is a bash, party or celebration. Jalsa’ and ‘Juluus’ are two of the most used Urdu words the root of which is the three-letter Arabic word ‘Jals’. In Arabic the word means to sit but in Urdu it means the social gathering, a meeting, an assembly, social or public gathering, a gathering for entertainment (song, dance or concert).
Jalsa also happens to be the initials of Jalni and Sarju (Jal-Sa) which makes it even more relevant.

Paneer is a 100% vegetarian product made from Buffalo or cows milk also known as "Indian cottage cheese". It is curdled using lemon juice or vinegar and hence 100% vegetarian. It is a soft and mild cheese that retains it texture but high in protein. Paneer is used in the infamous curries palak paneer (spinach with paneer) and butter paneer masala (paneer slow cooked with tomatoes, chillies and spices (getting hungry as I write this!)). Our paneer is made fresh and preservative free.

During wedding season, the groom is forced into a competition against his brother-in-laws to see who can eat the most jamuns... A very dangerous competition which I barely survived!
Kheer is a traditional South Asian sweet pudding or porridge made by slow-cooking milk, sugar, and rice to create a thick and creamy sweet dish. Often compared to the Western rice pudding, kheer is flavoured with cardamom, saffron, and nuts. Jalsa kheer is made fresh with cardamom and a hint of vanilla.
Cardamon is known as the "Queen of Spices" due its rich aroma, high value and wide spread use in Indian cooking.
Kheer is served during major festivals like Diwali and Eid, as well as family weddings and religious ceremonies.
Kheer is known as payasam in South India and payesh in eastern regions, frequently used as a sacred temple offering.
